Joan Mills (TENGEN)
Joan Mills plays herself in TENGEN, a noise guitar/freakout act from Birmingham — we sit down on the side of a mountain stoop to discuss process and musical biography as she embarks on a new creative arc for the last quarter of the year.
We feature three songs from her Bandcamp with more to follow on our Fall Music Mixer. You can see her at the Nick Oct. 2 and Cahaba Brewing for the Papers, Please fundraiser on Oct. 23 (2026). Follow her on Instagram tengen.music and keep an eye out at noisy spots in town. Many thanks - - -
